Just Like Lunching in NOLA - Liliana's does it again!

We experienced our FIRST lunch service at Liliana's  in Fitchburg, WI and they wowed us.... yet AGAIN!

As promised, we headed for Liliana's for lunch after a Saturday morning matinee of a certain red, white, and blue superhero movie.

You know which one we're talking about.

We got there fairly early, thinking we wouldn't need a reservation, but since it's graduation season, we were wrong.

LUCKILY... yet again... we were able to sit at the bar.  The bar has become our usual seats, and we really don't mind it.

So what did we eat?

Cornbread with Jalapeño Butter

Oh.

Em.

Gee.

These were sooooooooo good!  We actually dug into these before we could take the photo.  These were complimentary, and delicious.  They were good on their own, but slather them with Jalapeño butter and it takes them to a whole new level.  So bomb! 💣

Mac & Cheese

This was off the kids menu, but worth the mention.  Super creamy, cheesy, and oh so good.  It's always great to be able to order mac & cheese that isn't of the boxed variety (which some may say is sacrilegious), especially living in Wisconsin. 🧀

Chicken Fingers w/ Sweet Potato Chips

Another dish off the kids menu.  These were fried to a perfect golden brown color, and the sweet potato chips were a delicious alternative to the classic fries.  Your kiddos will LOVE these.  We did, and we're grown adults.

Fresh Fruit & Veggies

Another off the kids menu.  Your kiddos can eat healthy here. 👍🏼

Jambalaya

Holy Jambalaya!

This dish was outstanding!

Made with blackened shrimp, Andouille sausage, Tasso ham and Nueske’s bacon, with peppers, onions, tomatoes, and served over rice.

This dish was SUPER filling, and we ended up boxing half of this and taking it home for a late night snack!  SCORE!

Frankly, we would eat this for breakfast, lunch, OR dinner!  You should too!

Blackened Catfish Po'Boy

This was one heck of a sandwich made with Blackened catfish, Sriracha slaw, and scallions on a grilled baguette.  The Baguette was toasted but soft enough to bite into it.  The side of couscous and sweet potato chips balanced this dish out.  We would order this again.

Lunch at Liliana's didn't disappoint.

We can only imagine how dinner service will be, and we can't wait to make our rezzies, which we plan to do next time.  And as always, Ms. Liliana, their charming hostess was there to politely say "Have a good evening."  As we left the restaurant.

Another wonderful dining experience at Liliana's to put in the books. 👍🏼
